Dear friends, fans, happen-byers-of-this-post:
All of the above Pentatonix photos belong to me. (c) Lizzy Davis Photography and (c) www.rock-concert-photography.com - my self owned online publication. All photos I post are taken with special requested permission. All photos are taken with equipment that actually costs thousands of dollars.
That said, I like to share my photos with the world. I appreciate the support I get, and I appreciate hearing that other fans and bands enjoy my work. What I don’t appreciate is the people who crop my watermark out. Or the people who edit the color slightly, add a texture, blow out the highlights, etc., and then call it their own. None of the above makes it your own. It makes it theft, and you should feel lucky that I’m not mean enough to take immediate legal action over it - because I do have the right to do so.
I know I am not the most talented photographer in the world, but I also know my photos will turn out better than 90% of show-goer’s photos. If that wasn’t truth, then I don’t think I’d still be getting credentials into shows. So please, please, please, be kind and don’t crop my watermark out. It’s not like it takes up the entire photo. I purposely place it in a dark corner location using a tiny font so that it doesn’t interfere with the photo. If, for whatever reason, you find it necessary to crop it out, at least give Lizzy Davis Photography or Rock: Front/Center a link/text credit.
The same goes for all other concert photos and photographers out there. We think it’s awesome when you like our work enough to share it, but we appreciate 10x more when you acknowledge our existence, and the effort and expense and time we go through to pay for our camera and other equipment, get in touch with media contacts, cover shows, edit thousands of photos after a show. Credit is the least you can do.
Thank you for your time, and I hope you continue to support my passion!
TLDR: Don’t crop my damn watermark out of photos.
